Kathryn received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, where she served as a staff writer for the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and was a recipient of the Gressman-Pollitt Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy. While in law school, Kathryn clerked for the Wake County District Court Judges’ office.
Kathryn is a summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She attended FSU on a full scholarship. Kathryn received her B.A. in psychology with a minor in special education. During her undergraduate studies, Kathryn was an active volunteer for the Head Start Program and the Education Research Center for Child Development.
