Dara is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign, Illinois. She was named a Harno Scholar and graduated in the top 15% of her class. Dara was a Baum Memorial Scholarship recipient, and she earned the Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal Award for Excellence in Legal Writing. Dara also volunteered as a mediator for Juvenile Court Diversion Services.
Dara earned her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003. She was a Johnston Scholar and earned the distinction of becoming a Phi Beta Kappa member.
Dara is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association, Family Law Section.
Dara focuses her practice primarily on family law in Wake County.
